Practical DevSecOps is a training and certification platform focused on DevSecOps, artificial intelligence (AI) security, and application security (AppSec).[1] The platform provides certification programs for cybersecurity professionals covering topics such as DevSecOps, artificial intelligence (AI) security, cloud-native security,API security, container security, software supply chain, and threat modeling.[2]

History

Practical DevSecOps was founded in Singapore in 2018.[3] It operates under Hysn Technologies Inc. and is headquartered in Singapore, with offices in San Francisco and Dubai.[4] In 2019, the organization introduced its first DevSecOps certification programs and expanded operations by establishing regional offices in the United States.[1]

In 2020, Practical DevSecOps launched a browser-based training platform that allows participants to complete course content and hands-on lab exercises through a web browser.[1]

In 2021, the organization introduced additional certification programs focused on application security and infrastructure security.[5]

In 2022, the organization expanded its training offerings with further certification programs covering additional security topics.[6] In 2023, the platform continued expanding its certification portfolio, with a significant number of professionals participating in its training programs.[2]

In 2024, the organization introduced certification programs focused on artificial intelligence (AI) security.[5]

In 2025, Practical DevSecOps announced the formation of an advisory board and the launch of DevSecOps consulting services.[7]

Training programs and certifications

Practical DevSecOps provides training and certification programs in DevSecOps, artificial intelligence (AI) security, and application security.[5] Courses are designed for security engineers, penetration testers, application security engineers, product security engineers, security architects, AI security engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and DevOps engineers.[5] Training is available in self-paced and instructor-led formats. Courses include recorded lectures, hands-on lab exercises, 24/7 instructor support, course manuals, and certification exams.[8]

Awards

In 2023, Practical DevSecOps received the Outstanding DevSecOps Community Award at the DevSecOps Leadership Awards, presented by DevSecCon..[9]
