Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (1767–1852) was the 7th and 8th Sultan of the Palembang Sultanate from 1804–1821. His parents were Sultan Muhammad Bahauddin and Ratu Agung Al-Haddad. He is now regarded as a National Hero of Indonesia.[1] He was featured in the original 2005-issue and modified 2010-issue Rp10,000 banknotes.
