List of Sigma Delta Pi chapters

Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society (La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica), was established on in 1919 at the University of California, Berkeley.[1] It is a North American organization, with chapters being chartered in the United States and Canada.[1][2][3] Following is a list of its chapters, with active chapters indicated in bold and inactive chapters and institutions in italics.[1][2][3]

  12. ^ In 1978, the college merged to form the University of Lowell, now the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
  13. ^ a b The name Mu Mu was skipped because of fear that this name would "invite laughter". Instead, the chapter was named Theta of Louisiana, with the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet being selected to represent the eighth chapter in Louisiana.

  18. ^ After going dormant, the chapter was reformed by absorbing the Spanish Club (local), established in the spring of 2012.
  19. ^ Chapter formed at Purdue University Calumet, now called Purdue University Northwest.
  20. ^ IPFW split into Indiana University Fort Wayne and Purdue University Fort Wayne on July 1, 2018.
