Bird Game 3 is a fictitious multiplayer video game and internet meme. The idea began as an AI-generated meme in October 2025, aimed at misinformation about a highly-rated nostalgic game centered around birds.[1] Based on the phenomena, several studios launched their own projects, attempting to bring Bird Game into reality.[2] Planned video games published on Steam include projects by Crashout Games, Birdgame Studios, Ping Back, Aengel Studio and Bird Game developed by WoodFinch Studios and published by Loyalty Interactive.[3]
Initial phenomenon
Initially, the idea of the game came from videos on TikTok and later YouTube Shorts that were showing a gameplay of an action multiplayer battle-royale video game about birds on a nonexistent console Xbox50.[4][5] In late 2025, videos collected millions of views, likes, and comments from the users, excited for the game, despite the content was generated by AI and the game did not exist.[6] Videos claimed that Bird Game 3 contained a "fully explorable bird world", some showing groups of people playing the game and saying phrases implying that the players are very familiar with the game.[7] The game was also described as a long-standing franchise with many games and fans, that existed since 2005 and won the game of the year award.[8][9] Due to the gameplay being generated by AI, the genre shown in videos was always different, ranging from MOBA and MMO to RPG and fighting games.[10] The phenomenon sparked the interests of many developers to bring the game to the market in a playable form, and many people claimed to be the original developers of the game.[2]
Video games
Many Bird Game video games have their active pages on Steam.[11] Examples include a project by WoodFinch Studios and Loyalty Interactive, that aims at action-adventure gameplay and includes several mechanics, proposed by users in the original phenomenon. Another project by Birdgame Studios is aimed at 3D fighting action and multiplayer gameplay, released on February 20, 2026.[3][11][12]
