The 17th Game Developers Choice Awards was an award ceremony honoring outstanding achievements by game developers and video games released in 2016. The event took place on March 1, 2017, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California during the 2017 Game Developers Conference[1] and was hosted by Tim Schafer.[2] It was held alongside the Independent Games Festival awards.[3][4][5]
